Sept. 30th getting ready for going south

This is the trike form Joy and Jim even with a fresh paint job (how cool is that) this was used for their grand children now being recycled for a good cause
Roger and Susie's Travels Well today Susie and I went to the dentist to get our teeth cleaned annual check up. Lazy day but we met up with Joy and Jim Gibson (these are new friends that we have met going to our local pub in our area the Fishermans Lodge) they have decided to add to our collection of bikes for the kids at the Isla (short for where we stay in the Mazatlan area) Joy has also donated some clothes plus $40.00 for Xmass hampers ( pretty cool for people that don't even come to our area in Mexico) We will try to talk them into coming down for a visit??? I will try to get a picture from them and add to this blog I got a picture of Jim and Joy but it is small I guess that will have to do for now

Sept 20 th I'm back

Roger and Susie's Travels Well besides getting ready for our trip south it seems that time is moving to fast Yesterday Robin made a quick trip to see us we were upgrade some sat receivers and the old ones had to be shipped back within 10 day (the reason for the quick trip) Peggy didn't come doctors appointments etc. We had good visit and Susie made excellent dinner. Today with Robin heading home I followed him to Arrow smith golf & country club in Qualicum and met Susan and Joseph there and they treated us to 18 holes of golf and lunch (Susan,s parents own the golf course they built it 15 years ago how cool) Susie could not come because of doctor appointments (it seem to me doctor take up to much of our time ????) We had a wonder full day and a great game of golf (lovely course and I will be back)

Well I'm Back for a up date

Robin is still trying to figure how to get the right club out of the bag

Well I'm Back for a up date

My car at one of the car shows

This car a guy got from California which is the same year as my car  but diferent style plus all the under carriage is different he paid 14,000 for it

Typical car show

A little better shot of my trophy they tell me that it has to sit on my manttle  for the year  I am still trying to figure out how I am going to get it past Susie But we are gone for 6 months maybe she won't go in to the living room ( we are very seldom in that room)

THIS IS THE ONLY SHOT OF MY SERVICING THIS IS THE AIR CLEANER REPLACELMENT
Roger and Susie's Travels Well since my big day of most improved golfer.  I have been doing the usual stuff working in my shop (major cleanup of the crawl space and shop) going to the golf range Plus local car shows the odd fishing day working on the other boat for next year yard work etc.( never a boring moment) Susie and I are going to start going to go to the golf driving range so Susie can have some practice and start to play I will be bring her set of clubs with us so hopefully she will start playing down in Mexico ( so that means I will have a extra set of clubs in case we need them ) We have started to get the motor home ready I am in the middle of servicing it the main motor the generator excetra over the last few years I have spent huge sums to have this work done. This year sense I used to own dump trucks and serviced them my self (for only the cost of the parts) I figured I better get back at it so that is what I am doing. Susie is starting to buy things that are on sale. But for the most part we have a better idea what we can buy in Mexico and what we need in the States so as a result we wont be over loading in Canada. We are planning to leave around the middle of Oct. (but not cut in stone) once we start our trip I will be more concident on my blog Roger and Susie

My trophy

part of the gathering group of guys in the skins club

My buddy on his electric bike I am walking behind him home from the pub can,t afford an impaired other wise no Mexico that would be devastating  Susie has not mastered the driving of the motor home
Roger and Susie's Travels The fisherman's club Skins is the club that I joined last year in our area of Black Creek Last year when I joined my first game my score for 18 holes was approx 144 give or take ( every was very polite but ??) after that nobody was impressed. then off to Mexico I played at Elstra Del Mar still working on my game back home. Back to the locals but it still took a while to get their respect the courses are a lot more narrow and challenging then Mexico but by the middle of the season I managed to bring my score below 110 for 18 holes which was about 30 strokes off of last year. Today we played our last game of the season called the north west ( to complicated to explain ) we all put in 40 bucks and compete for the prize money. Well at the end of the day I won 150 bucks the best part They gave me there trophy for the most improved player of the year the most important part was I got the respect of the hole group of players (that's big for me) a good day

Aug 23rd Holy shit it,s about time to catch up

This the middle section of the crawl space which I have most of the stuff cleaned out when empty I will paint the floor it helps keep the cement dust down

This the first section I cleaned up except I have moved a lot of stuff from the the middle section to clean up and paint the floor most of the stuff is labelled for garage sale etc

this is stuff for shredder

new flower for back yard you would have to ask Susie what it is

fishing

My friend Hal

Hals big catch
Roger and Susie's Travels Well in the past few weeks lots of stuff has happened. What with the motor home being constantly at the repair shop. no sooner finished the final repairs from the power problem from Mexico. ( it does look like King David insurance company is going to cover the repairs but no check as of yet ) Then the fridge lets go (this was rebuilt last year under warranty (but the guy has gone out of business) thank heaven the insurance company has covered the new repairs. next thing too do is new tires for the motor home well I decided to go with tires of the same quality and size but cheaper but we had a problem with balancing ( I won't go into detail but it was a all day process to get it right but finally did) In between all this nonsense I have been spending time trying to finally sort out the crawl space (this is all the stuff that we did not have time to sort out mic stuff over the years plus all business records both business and personal) I have hauled about 6 boxes to recycling plus I have a least 5 to 7 boxes to go to the shredder at $7.00 per box. on the bright side I have been doing better at golf and loving it. Today My friend (Hal)and I went out fishing Hal caught a salmon about 5 to 6 lbs 2 ' long ?? I did get a bite but no luck (good relaxing day) On the way home I did get stopped in a road block (thank heaven I was okay????) (Imagine me with no licence and Susie driving the motor home to Mexico?????) they let me through. This is happening in our local area because of the tourist campers in our local area ( this very sad but necessary????)
