Nov. 18th Stone Island Mexican spanish lessons

Roger and Susie's Travels Today about 12 of us went and took a spanish lesson about 6 of us were totaly novice the other 6 already know quite a bit of mexican so next week we are going to split into two groups 9:00 & 10:00 am starts. The girl is seventeen and very fluent in english our cost is 250 pesos per hour ($21.00 Canadian) divided by up to 10 people per group. Myself Susie and Mike and Kitty after schooling went and did Lunch at Benji,s (Great pizzas and excellent fish (white meat) I don't know if I had mentioned that the boat that the 5 parterners bought last year 14' fiberglass. We had the locals do repairs and painting while we were gone we have picked the boat up and parked it at Benji.s. This where we will be launching the boat in the ocean when we want to use it (no problems with waves) in the pictures one picture shows the boat before repairs and the other two are the finished product. Then we went to a happy hour At Tim and Cheryl ,s and everyone brought something to mix into individual Taco bags (cheese,meat,salsa,onion,lettuce,etc.etc.) eat with a plastic fork, so no dishes, its very yummy and a fun get together. Later truck came by with sweet,s which were all bought for a fair price for everyone to share. Today is a massage and having a nail fill, how lucky to be here.

Nov. 8th Los Glorias to Stone Island

Roger and Susie's Travels Heading out this morning for Stone Island nothing exciting left 7:30am Arrived 3:00 to a welcome from campers already here

Nov. 7th Los Glorias

Roger and Susie's Travels Left San Carlos 8:30 am on our way to Los Glorias as we pulled off freeway and through a small town to head for Los Glorias I was right behind Robin he went through a green light and me right behind then a municipal cop pulled me over and told me that I went through a red light (total bullshit) to make a long story short I got my first experience at paying a bribe cost me $30.00 US. After that he gave us guidence through town toward Los Glorias. On a happier note we arrived around 4:00 pm went to hotel restraunt had dinner and drinks. While we were there a bus tour from Culican mostly mexican ladies mostly middle aged they all came into the restraunt a band was set up they played all of our music but in mexican they (mexican ladys) got up and started dancing before you know it they had us up dancing with them. Well what can I say we had a blast. we decided to stay another day and enjoyed their company the next day in the pool etc. They left at 4:00 all kinds of hugs hand shakes etc this was quite an expierence. We even exchanged email with the tour lady. We did spend some time on the beach collecting shells etc and pulled out three locals stuck in the sand with Robins jeep
