Roger and Susie's Travels  today was a relaxing day Susie and Tracy went to town to do some mother daughter bonding. Karia Stuart and I just hung out and did what we wanted Karia worked on her drawings (pretty good stuff) we hung out on the beach for a while Stuart tried a little snorkling Karia a little drawing and getting a tan I did a little book reading ( I am not sure if any of us had any success) Then the ladies got home  happy hour dinner  movie then bed time

This little pile of steaks from our local butcher about 2 to 3 pounds for $160 pesos  (about $13 Canadian)

Roger and Susie's Travels was another hang around day beach time body surfing beach strolls etc happy hour picked up steaks from local meat market on Isla and great barbacue

Roger and Susie's Travels I went golfing thursday the girls went shopping the volly ball was on Fri. every body had a beach day jet lag etc

Roger and Susie's Travels Well Tracy and kids arrived Stuart and Karia every body happy. Set up in the hotel room next door then beach and some relaxing then dinner etc

Jan.3rd Isla

They all left me on the beach even the dog  must have been dinner to leave her ball behind

There they all go leaving me on the beach all by myself

On the way home from golf we shot this interesting plam tree pretty rare

Roger and Susie's Travels Today we started off going to the driving range ( Robin,Mike, Rick, Roger) not sure if it helped ??? the girls went to town (Kitty, Deb, Susie) ( have no idea what trouble they got into ????.) got home from golfing and relaxed till the ladies got home then to the beach. (of course happy hour started sometime in there ) from there we had a nice barbacue steak and chicken dinner at Rick and Debs trailer ( they are renting Don and Barbs trailer for a week While Don is back home for the holidays nice unit)( Hi Don and Barb )

After stiches out which they came to the motor home to do looking good no infection

Ouch 10 stiches on the inside and 10 stiches on the out side down to the bone

both legs got a clean up the second leg got a lot of scrapes

The pit that I stepped in

Roger and Susie's Travels There has been a lot said about being injured and the being looked after in Mexico. My own experience I fell down a mechanics pit ( you no the ones that they put a car over to work on grease job etc) They are little different here then in Canada  or USA you are allowed to walk around freely at your own risk (which we do) (keep yours eyes down and beware of your surroundings) The Mechanic (Danial) when he jumped in the pit to check on me he was worried I was dead ??? was he glad when I said to him don't move I have got to find my glasses (that signaled that I was okay} From there along with friends after coming out of the pit they determined (Tim and Cherl) that I needed to go and get stitches Off we went to Mazatlan Clinic St Martens My buddy Robbin and Daniel (our Meican Mechanic and Local Friend) this was a great experence ( never mind the pulmaia ride) the people at the clinic were supper at looking after me It did help to have Danial there to translate I think they were a little nervise with Robin taking pictures ( of the pretty doctor) never mind my leg stiches The long and short of it I am a very happy guy the cost at the clinic cost me 2100 peses under 200 dollars plus a 50 dollars in drugs ( this less then my deductable for the Candian insurance)

Roger and Susie's Travels  Today very relaxing out for break fast and lunch combo beach time and happy hour was playing crib about 8 of us (Bud and Wendy, Mike and Kitty, Rick and Deb, Roger and Susie) you will note that a lot of stuff happens here on Isla (stone Island) just looking at the sunset you can see the locals going and coming

Roger and Susie's Travels Well we got up a little late but did manage the polar bear swim at 11:00 then bob brought out gas powered blender we all had champane and orange type drink then some quite time (running a little slow from last nights festivities) the we had a pot luck dinner around 4:00 two big hams and all the ficksons most everybody went home early to rest up for the next days

Roger and Susie's Travels Tonite was a ton of  fun Susie and I haven't done new years eve for 5 years plus so we hadn't plan  on staying to 12:00 But we did so cool with our camping friends Bob brown set up our music for the night so we had a good variety plus the owner of the hotel next store Adam plus his family along with his brother and there family shared the evening with us very cool
