Roger and Susie's Travels April 28Th well we have been home for about 2 weeks I have been multi tasking. Getting the yard ready for summer. Weather is still iffy (our back yard takes the most work) emptying the motor home plus under neath (I will totally reorganize that area)The motor home goes in for fridge repairs on Friday the may 7Th (covered under warranty)working on my old car ( picked up parts in Washington more Stainless steal trim pieces plus a set of fender skirts etc) any way I enjoy working on lots of things at the same time. Also getting back in touch with all our friends here on Vancouver island. I will try to get caught up on the blog about every 2 weeks unless I feel something is interesting to post

Home at last

Roger and Susie's Travels (April 14th) Got up 5:30am (because that is what the clock was set at) to make sure we didn't miss the boat to Victoria got through customs with out a hitch (thank god not that we were hidding any thing!!!!!) Stopped at Costco on the way home stocked on a few items. Roger and Susie's Travels (April 12th) Left Linclon city Oregan 10:30 arrived at our next stop lucky Eagale casino in Washington had hookups there this was our last casino for we are casinoed out. (April 13th) left around 9:00 arrived At Cabela the fishing store in Washinton bought more fishing lures etc. We have arrived in Port Angeles having a quiet evening and catching the ferry for Victoria in the morning will arrive home tomorrw. the camp site that we are in is very nice. Dry Camping Casino Lincoln City Oregan Coast

Roger and Susie's Travels (April 11th) Left Bend Oregan at 10:30 arrived Lincoln city Oregan at 2:00 pm (dry camping at another casino to night) from Bend the roads were good very little climbing to get over the Summit (elv 6000ft plus) the decent on the other side going to the coast was long and steep and narrow road ( I would not want to come back that way) the camp site at Bend was nice ($35.00 per night) (picked up fuel in town $3.10 per US gal) you have to go into these towns for fuel because you will pay around 20 to 25 cents more by fueling on the outskirts of town. On the road again

Roger and Susie's Travels (April 10Th) Left Susanville California 8:00am Arrived Bend Oregon around 3:00pm traveled through on hwy 395 to Vally Falls Oregon took hwy 31 to La Pine hwy 97 to Bend Oregon. the hwy was 2 lane very quiet and very good roads and fairly flat little hills. (My only concern was if a break down not much room to pull over.) (but we are not supposed to break down ????) any way very easy on fuel with no hills scenery mostly ranching ponderous pines very rural very little traffic almost desert like.

Roger and Susie's Travels (April 8th) Left today said our good byes Bill & Charlotte hugs all around said our good byes to Bill & Deanna the night before. left around 9:30 stopped for fuel in Tonopath Nevada $3.09 per gal. Stayed over night in Hawthorne Nevada dry camped in casino lot (boring place) hwy 95 pretty quite day. April 9th) left 9:00am heading to Susanville hwy 395 we traveled through Reno did not stop???? we arrived at native casino in Susanville area around 1;30 fueled up ($3.07 per gal.) and parked for the night so we will check out this one and win some money ???? Tomorrw we will have a longer drive. I am getting free internet here so thats why I am catching up with our boring drive. Roger and Susie's Travels (April7th) Well last day in Vegas Our other cousins arrived (Bill and Deanna Melhorne) early afternoon we all had a good vist catching up on the usual things family friends etc. We all went to another casino did another buffet (ate our selfs silly what did you expect) then off to more gambling. We ended the evening around 10:00 pm. Roger and Susie's Travels (April 6th) Left AVI casino KOA camp ground at 10:00am arrived Oasis camp ground 12:30 pm (las Vegas) very nice place about $50 per night Cousins Bill and Charlotte (from Alberta) arrived at 1:00 we visited for a bit had a drink. Then went to a close casino for a late Lunch did some gambling. They have a Bass Pro Shop connected to the casino very big simmler to Cabela's sport shop. I spent my time buying fishing gear etc. Then home for drinks desert etc. (A few pictures of camp ground and Bill Charlotte and Susie)

Roger and Susie's Travels (April 5th) We have been off line for a few day no internet we were dry camping in the Laughlin area saving money for gambling. I also took in a demolision derby very cool we are heading to Vegas tomorrow for few days We are meeting Cousins Bill and Charotte Chat (from Olds Alberta)and Also Bill and Deanna Melhorn (from Phoenix AZ)

Roger and Susie's Travels (April 1st) to day I got the motor home and car washed at AVI casino lot (costed $118.00 US in Mexico Stone Island this would cost $300 pesos aprox $25 Can.) also golfed and played blackjack tournament and we had a very nice dinner at Italian restraunt in AVI with points from our player cards.
